HEX is hexadecimal notation (#RRGGBB). RGB uses Red, Green, Blue values (0-255). HSL uses Hue (0-360°), Saturation, and Lightness (0-100%). They represent the same colors differently.
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) AA requires 4.5:1 contrast for normal text, 3:1 for large text. AAA requires 7:1 and 4.5:1 respectively. Higher ratios improve readability for people with vision impairments.
Color harmonies are based on color theory: Complementary (opposite colors), Analogous (adjacent colors), Triadic (evenly spaced 120°), and Tetradic (two complementary pairs).
